Vintage 50's aluminum block lighter, Jockey shift lever, faucet handle, door handle and etc.  These are some of my design inspiration when I designed the product.

Why elongated lever comapared to other shift levers?
レバー部分が長くなっている理由について。

I took this point from door handle.  When you open a door, you just grab the very end of the knob and turn it down very easily.  The principle of leverage.
レバー部分についてはドアハンドルから着想しました。ドアを開閉するにあたって、ハンドルの先端部分を握って動かすと思います。根元部分を握るようりも簡単に操作が可能です。これはテコの原理によるものです。

That means when you use THUMBSTER, try to mount a little closer to stem.
サムスターでの変速操作においても同様です。そのため、ハンドルバーへの取り付けの際にはステム側に寄せて取り付けを行ってください。
Just like you open a door, you should easily move the lever with your thumb at the very end of the lever.
まさにドアを開閉するように、レバーの先端部分を親指で操作します。
