Update as of Aug.26th: Postal services around the world has suspended commercial shipments bound to US.
We can only offer Yamato for a shipment to US. Please note that you will need to pay duty on its delivery. Please let us know if you have an account with some courier service and we will ship under your account.
Postal service around the world has suspended commercial shipment to the US.
It will be effective on Aug. 29th. Most personal shipments valued under USD800 has been duty free and it will end on the 29th. It means that all commercial shipments entering US border is subject for duty tax.
As for today, Aug. 22nd, 15% duty on most of Japanese goods entering US.
People in the US are required to pay for its duty on delivery. Please note no matter how much you spend on a product, you, the buyer will need to pay for its duty tax.
When you purchase a product, we offer two options for shipment, EMS or Yamato.
The US bound shipment via couriers, such as Yamato, EMS, DHL and Fedex is subject for 15% duty. It needs to clear the customs and you will need to pay for its duty.
Please let us know if you have an account with one of those couriers and we can ship under your account.
This is for your information. The flat rate duty is applied on a shipment by postal service. This is only for the first 6 months and IEEPA rate will be applied after 6 months. A package from Japan with any values will be subject to USD80 for duty tax. If the package has USD50 and you will need to pay another USD80 for duty. You will need to pay USD130 in total. You would want to have a product shipped via postal service if the shipment has more than USD533 as USD80 is the 15%.
